Muhammad Akram 's Story

Akram is a 40 years old man who works at a utility store earning about 8000 to 10,000 PKR per month. His wife is a homemaker and she look after the family while Akram goes out to work every day. Akram is the father of 5 school going children.

Though life was never easy for Akram, he somehow manages to make their ends meet within his meager income. However, his life took a drastic turn when the doctors diagnosed him with Lt Renal Stone which causes severe pain in his left Lumber area. As days passed by, few symptoms like pain during urination, urinary urgency, nausea and vomiting etc became visible. His condition has deteriorated so much that he is unable to go to work now.

Now there is no source of income for his family and they are living in a pitiful financial state. They do not have the money to buy food, medicines or other household resources. The education of his children is at stake as he cannot pay for the school fees. His wife has become so helpless that she is now borrowing money from her relatives to run the household expenses.

In these circumstances, it is impossible for his wife to pay for her husband’s expensive surgery and hospital bills.

Akram’s family was living in a helpless situation when they came to know about Transparent Hands through a doctor. He is now registered for his surgery in a few days but his struggles don’t end here. He and his family are looking forward to us to support them at their toughest time of life.
