Muhammad Jalal is 6 years old boy who lives in a house made of clay in the rural area of Mardan with his 4 siblings and parents. His father is a daily wager and earns around 500 rupees a day with which he has to take care of not only his family’s needs but also his 5 brothers and parents who are dependent on him. They are struggling to manage their day to day expenses. They all live together in a small house with no access to clean drinking water and proper sanitation. There are days, when this family has nothing to eat and they have to go to sleep with empty stomach. In such tough situation, their son Jalal is diagnosed with heart disease.

Muhammad Jalal is a born patient of Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) – a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart. His father took him to a local hospital from where Jalal got initial treatment but that didn’t provide him relief. Doctor told them to take him to a good hospital in a city where he can be operated for his heart disease. With limited finance, Jalal’s father was unable to take his son to another hospital as it would cost him a lot of money. On the other hand, Jalal’s health is deteriorating with each passing day. He feels difficulty in breathing and cannot walk or play actively like other kids. Luckily, someone told them about Transparent Hands and he immediately brought Jalal here without waiting anymore.
