Muhammad Sufiyan is a 6 years old cheerful boy who is suffering from Umbilical Hernia by birth. Due to his condition, there is a swelling / bulge near the umbilical area. He feels extreme pain and a burning sensation while urinating. He vomits frequently and cannot digest well which often causes diarrhea.

His mother took him to many hospitals but all the doctors have advised him a pediatric surgery to repair the umbilical hernia. Unfortunately, his mother does not have the money to pay for it. She came to Transparent Hands to get help after a doctor informed her about this organization.

Sufiyan’s mother is taking care of him and his siblings on her own. His father has married for the second time and has left his three kids with his first wife to struggle in this world alone. Since then, he never contacted his family. Sufiyan’s mother stitches clothes for people in her area to manage her household expenses and hardly earns 500 to 600 PKR per day. It’s impossible for her to pay for Sufiyan’s surgery within this meager income.

Muhammad Sufiyan 5 ½ years old boy was presented with a painful lump around his umbilicus which was diagnosed as Umbilical Hernia. He was advised surgery for relief. His operation was done in Akram Medical Complex on 19-02-19 by Dr Ahmed Fawad. He had good post-operative recovery and was discharged pain-free and in perfect health after one day of hospital stay.
