“My wife has been suffering for over 20 years and we have visited numerous hospitals for treatment. Being poor means you have no right to proper health care. Please help us with your kind generosity and give my wife a chance to live a healthy life.” – Naaz Bibi’s husband pleaded.

37 year old, Naaz Bibi is a patient of Chronic Tonsils from last 25 years. Initially, she got treatment from a private hospital but the problem persisted. She then visited countless government hospitals, but still did not get any relief.

She is having difficulty in swallowing and breathing, fever, headache and severe pain in her throat. This is greatly affecting her appetite and she is becoming weaker, by each passing day. Now her tonsillitis can only be treated through surgery, according to doctors.

Naaz has 4 children, two of them are school going. The eldest daughter and son dropped out of school because of financial issues. The son helps her husband at a juice stall he owns. The monthly income is about 15,000 PKR. They live in a rented house and it is not possible for them to afford the surgery that Naaz needs.

Naaz Bibi's Story

Naaz Bibi 37 years old lady was suffering from recurrent episodes of throat infection due to chronic tonsillitis. She was advised tonsillectomy. Her surgery was done in Akram Medical Complex on 16-05-19 by Prof. Sami Mumtaz. Her chronically inflamed tonsils were removed. She stayed for 1 day in hospital after surgery and had good recovery. She was discharged in good health.
