Noor Ullah's Story

“Seeing him in pain is heart aching. My son deeply looks up to me to relieve his pain. This worries me every moment because I stand there helpless with my financial inabilities doing absolutely nothing for him.” – Noorullah’s father.

Noorullah is a 15 years old boy studying in a religious school. He is a patient of chronic tonsillitis. He lives with his big family in a small rented house in the slum area of Peshawar.

When his fellow friends are continuing their education, he cannot even talk properly due to his deteriorating throat condition causing severe pain, swelling and itching in his throat for last 5 years. The delay in his treatment has led to worsening of his symptoms further causing nose and body pain, difficulty in swallowing and noisy breathing due to blocked airways.

Doctor has advised Noorullah to undergo a surgery (Tonsillectomy) – removal of his tonsils for permanent relief but unfortunately, his father has no money to pay for his operation or hospital bills. When he heard about Transparent Hands, he contacted the organization to conduct a free surgical procedure for his son.

Noorullah’s father is the only earning member of the family with an income of 10,000 rupees per month. He has 5 brothers and 6 sisters and they too are getting education in same school. His father has two wives and the entire family depends on his meager income for their living.

When a father should be a hero for his son, this man is standing in guilt because he can’t do anything to relieve the pain of his son.
