Rasheed Ahmad 's Story

Rasheed Ahmad, 50 years of age, has been experiencing pain in his Left Inguinal area, for the last 2 years. He was diagnosed with Left Inguinal Hernia and the doctors have advised him surgery as a permanent cure.

His condition has worsened, over the last six months and he is experiencing severe pain and the size of his swelling has increased.

Rasheed was born as a mute and deaf child. He works as a laborer, earning about 7,000 PKR per month. He has 3 daughters and 3 sons. All the children are school going, except the eldest son who works at a cable network station with a monthly salary of 8,000 PKR. They are living hand-to-mouth in a small house, granted temporarily by the village landlord. They cannot afford the surgery that Rashid needs.
