Saeeda Begum Abbasi's Story
Saeeda Begum Abbasi is a 40 years old lady who lives in a remote area of Azad Kashmir with her husband and 2 daughters. She is also taking care of 5 kids from her husband’s first marriage. Her husband and one son are working as driver and together, they earn around 12,000 rupees a month. Her other son is working as a salesman earning a little income which is not enough to pay for their household expenses. This family is struggling hard to make both ends meet.
Saeeda Begum was suffering from severe abdominal pain, joint pain, vomiting and extreme weakness. Due to unavailability of good hospitals in her town, she couldn’t get any relief and she had to move to Lahore at her sister’s house. She has been living in Lahore for 2 months with her younger daughter whereas her husband and other kids are residing in Azad Kashmir.
Her sister took her to a hospital in Lahore where she was diagnosed with gallstones. Doctor recommended her to undergo surgery to remove gallbladder but due to long waiting list of patients, hospitals refused to treat her free of cost. Saeeda don’t have enough resources to pay for the surgical treatment herself. In such tough time, this poor lady came to know about Transparent Hands.
Saeeda is now scheduled for her Cholecystectomy in a few days at Akram Medical Complex. This poor lady needs your support in funding for her surgery. We request you to please donate as much as you can for her surgery so that she can be cured and go back to her family in Azad Kashmir.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website.
