Shakila Parvin's Story

“A happy married life, a blissful family and a safe motherhood. That’s an ideal dream of a married woman but for Shakila it seems like an illusion for now.  Here is the story of another struggling mother”

35 years old Shakila was married 10 years ago. After 3 years she got pregnant with her first child but unfortunately she delivered him dead, due to ‘Pregnancy induced hypertension’. Another stillbirth following the first left her hopes shattered completely. For the third time she delivered a healthy baby boy through C-Section. Now she is expecting her fourth child and again a C-Section is recommended for her delivery.

Her first three deliveries were financed by her late father. But now, the expense of her fourth operation has become a nightmare for Shakila and her husband. Her husband works as a laborer and earns 600 PKR per day. They have visited many local and private hospitals but the delivery cost is out of their affordability.

After contacting Transparent Hands Shakila along with her husband came with all her medical reports. The reports suggested that her fourth delivery must be done through C-Section to prevent unnecessary complications.
