Sidra Nadeem's Story

Sidra Nadeem is a 23 years old young girl who was diagnosed with heart disease. For treatment she went to many government hospitals but nothing proved to be of relief for her. She has been facing severe symptoms that include TOF, weakness, deficiency of blood, her skin turning blue, severe pain and blood in vomiting. Moreover, she went through 3 miscarriages which was quite a loss. Doctors have advised her immediate surgery to get relief from such condition which is the only option in her case.

Her husband works as a laborer and hardly earns 12,000 PKR a month. This amount is insufficient to afford her surgery in a private hospital due to expensive surgery cost. They live in a ‘3 Marla’ rented house and face difficulty in fulfilling their daily needs as well.

Sidra Nadeem's Story

Sidra Nadeem, 23 years old, had cyanosis and dyspnoea on exertion since birth. She was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. She was advised open heart surgery and corrective repair. Her surgery was done at Ittefaq Hospital through Pakistan Children Heart Foundation on 29-08-19 by Dr Muhammad Asim Khan. He performed total correction for TOF. She had good post op recovery and was discharged after 7 days of hospital stay with stable vitals and in a healthy condition.
