Surraiya Begum's Story

Surriaya, 45 years of age, got married a couple of years ago. She is a patient of Uterine Fibroids and visited many hospitals for treatment but did not get relief from any of them.

She is going through severe abdominal pain, bleeding, chest discomfort, weakness and frequent fever.

Surraiya’s husband is a laborer earning 15,000 PKR per month. They live frugally in this income and the costly surgery is out of their reach.

Eventually, Surraiya visited a medical camp organized by Transparent Hands in Chakwal. The doctors there, did her check-up and declared her case to be a surgical one. Transparent Hands has registered her for surgery.

Surriya Begum 45 years old lady was experiencing heavy menstrual bleed. She was diagnosed with Fibroid uterus and was advised surgery. Her myomectomy was done in Begum Noor Memorial Hospital, Chakwal by Dr. Tashfeen Imtiaz on 05-05-19. Her fibroid was taken out. She recovered well after surgery during 5 days of hospital stay and was discharged in perfect health.
