Abida Parvin's Story

22-year-old Abida Parvin got married 6 years back and had a baby girl just 1 year after that through a lower segment caesarean section (LSCS). Furthermore she was blessed with another baby girl and again had to go through the same procedure due to some complications in her pregnancy. She is pregnant the third time now and unfortunately again needs to go under the scalpel. For the birth of her third child, she once more needs an LSCS.

Abida’s husband is a labourer and works with masons. He earns only PKR 500 daily with an average salary of 12,000 PKR per month. The first two times, they managed to pay for the surgical procedures by selling their goats and some financial help from their family members. But this time, their family members have refused to help because of their own financial constraints. She and her husband have visited multiple hospitals but no one has offered to take up their procedure free of cost. As a last resort, they have come to us for help.

Abida Parvin's Story

Abida Parvin, 22 years old, was advised a lower segment Caesarean section for the birth of her third baby as she had a history of two previous C-sections. For this purpose, she was admitted in Abid hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel on 14.11.2020. Abida gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. The mother and her baby, both are doing well.
