Aiman Riaz's Story

Since Aiman was 3 years old, she frequently suffered from fever and sore throat. She also felt pain and difficulty while swallowing. After frequent episodes of these symptoms, her parents took her to the doctor and she was diagnosed with tonsillitis. It has been 12 years since that time. Aiman is 15 years old now. Her tonsillitis flares up every few months, and the local doctor prescribes her medicines for temporary relief.

Witnessing her suffering, the ENT specialist has now advised a tonsillectomy which is a surgical procedure for removal of the tonsils so she can get permanent relief from her recurrent tonsillitis. But her father cannot afford the surgery on his own. He owns a general store and earns only PKR 12,000 to PKR 15,000 per month. He has two other children and they reside in a 4.5 Marla house.

Despite multiple visits to local hospitals, they could not get an appointment for her surgery. They also cannot get their daughter treated in a private medical facility, as it is completely out of their budget.

An acquaintance told them about his free surgery carried out through the help of our organization, so they have contacted us for help and we have taken up their case.

Aiman has been living with the disease symptoms for 12 years now. This has not only affected her day-to-day work but also her sleep. Your donations will help her get an urgent surgery and consequently permanent relief from her suffering.

Aiman Riaz's Story

Aiman Riaz, 15 years old, suffered from recurrent episodes of sore throat and high grade fever. On medical consultation, she was diagnosed with recurrent tonsillitis and was advised tonsillectomy. For this purpose, Aiman was admitted in Maryam Memorial Hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Nasheed Baig on 30.11.2020. Her inflamed tonsils were removed. She stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Simple acts like breathing and swallowing, that were difficult before, have become much easier for Aiman now.
