Donate to Anabia Bibi for Her TOF Repair Surgery
Anabia Bibi's Story
“Anabia was only a month old when the doctor informed me about her heart defect and that she needed surgery. I started trembling looking at my baby’s innocent face. I remember my wife and I were asking the doctor repeatedly – are we going to lose her?” – Anabia’s father
Anabia, 2 years-of-age old was born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with left pulmonary artery stenosis which is a narrowing that occurs in the pulmonary artery, a large artery that sends oxygen-poor blood into the lungs to be enriched with oxygen. She was diagnosed with this disease only after a month of being born.
Her skin turns blue due to lack of oxygen in her body. She cannot eat properly and is underweight unlike most children of her age. This can cause severe malnutrition and stunted growth in future. Her condition is deteriorating every day which may lead to serious complications like abnormal heart rhythms, seizures, clubbed fingers and even death.
The 2-year-old baby requires a TOF repair surgery with LPA plasty. Anabia’s mother visited many hospitals for her treatment but they don’t have enough means to pay for her surgery at a private hospital. Local hospitals continue to reschedule the date and two years have passed in this process.
If this defect remains as such, her health can further deteriorate. It is a well-known fact that without timely surgery, a TOF patient cannot survive.
Anabia’s poor father opted to work in another country only to be able to try to pay for her daughter’s surgery. He is a labourer in Saudi Arabia and earns only 30,000 PKR per month. Even if he saves up for years, he won’t be able to pay for his daughter’s surgery as well as support his family.
With tears in her eyes, Anabia’s mother has requested Transparent Hands for help, and we have taken her case. She is scheduled for her open-heart surgery in a few days. This child now needs our help and support.
Our kind donations are the only way for her survival. Please make a donation urgently to save this innocent baby’s life!

Anabia Bibi's Story
Anabia Bibi, 2 years old, was a weak baby compared to other babies her age. She also suffered from breathlessness and cyanosis on minimal physical exertion. Her parents took her to the doctor to find out what was wrong with her. It was discovered that Anabia was suffering from tetralogy of fallot (TOF) with left pulmonary artery (LPA) stenosis. The doctor advised surgical intervention for the repair of these defects. For this purpose, Anabia was admitted in Ittefaq Hospital and her open heart surgery for total correction was performed by Dr. Salman Ahmed Shah on 19-01-2021. She stayed in the hospital for six days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Anabia has had a gradual and steady recovery. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
