Aqsa Amanat's Story
23-year-old Mrs. Aqsa Amanat of Muhallah Khana Neo, Lahore is expecting her second child. Her first child was delivered via a C-section and this time as well, her medical condition demands a C-section surgery. At 31 weeks of pregnancy, most moms are excited at the prospect of bringing a child to this world. For Aqsa, it is quite the opposite. She spends her nights pondering over the financial aspects of her elective C-section.
“A private hospital took care of my first delivery. I am nowhere close to having the same luck this time around. In this dingy place where I live, it is impossible not to think about what might happen if I run out of luck this time. To make myself feel better, I stare at the night sky sometimes, finding stars of hope and prosperity . I hope a star shines on me too, for my baby and I desperately need a miracle to happen and happen soon enough”- Aqsa Amanat

Aqsa Amanat's Story
Aqsa Amanat, 22 years old, was about to have her 2nd childbirth. She had surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was done on 07-07-20 in Noor Medicare Hospital, by Dr. Aisha Muzzafar. She was happy to give birth to a baby girl. She stayed for 3 days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
