Arooj Bibi's Story
Arooj, a 10-year-old innocent girl, is in severe pain for the last couple of months. She is suffering from swollen adenoids and tonsils that causes a lot of discomfort while breathing. The little girl feels soreness and pain while eating and drinking. She can’t even laugh or weep because that often makes her vomit due to her narrow air passages. She is diagnosed with adenotonsillitis and doctors have recommended her to undergo a surgery called an adenotonsillectomywhich is an operation to remove both the adenoids and tonsils.
“I try my best to be there for my kids. But I am out all day, trying to earn enough money to feed my children. Their father is never around, and even when he is, he is always intoxicated. I want to be able to help my little girl, but without your help, I can’t.” -Arooj’s mother
Her mother works as a daily wager and earns about PKR 15,000 a month after putting in extra hours. In this meagre income, they have to pay rent of PKR 6000 a month as well.
She has no one in the family who could pay for the surgery cost. Her father is a drug addict and is never around. Her mother is the sole earner and works day and night to provide for her kids. Some of the relatives are paying for their day-to-day expenses as well.
Arooj’s mother has requested Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital and Transparent Hands for help, and we have taken up her case. The little girl is now registered and scheduled for surgery in the near future. Only with the help of your donations this little girl will be able to get relief from her symptoms and start living her life happily.

Arooj Bibi's Story
Arooj, 10 years old, suffered from recurrent episodes of fever and sore throat. On medical consultation, she was diagnosed with adenoid hypertrophy and chronic tonsillitis. The doctor advised surgery for her. For this purpose, Arooj was admitted in Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital and her adenotonsillectomy was performed by Dr. Sanaullah Bhatti on 04.12.2020. Her inflamed tonsils and enlarged adenoids were removed. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged with good postoperative recovery. Her throat ache has subsided and she has had a swift recovery from her surgery.
