Asia Yaseen's Story
51-year-old Asia Yaseen’s heart problem started about 6 months years ago when she experienced severe pain in her chest, breathlessness and coughing. Initially, Asia did not want to worry her family, so she kept her condition a secret. A few weeks later when the pain became unbearable and she told her husband. He rushed her to the nearest government hospital. The doctors diagnosed her with ischemic heart disease and did an ECG and ECHO. The doctor prescribed medicines and recommended angioplasty for further investigation, however, due to a shortage of money, Asia was unable to get the procedure done.
Her husband took her to government hospitals multiple times, hoping the doctors would help but they weren’t lucky. With only a salary of 20,000 to support his family, Asia’s husband cannot afford to have the surgery at a private hospital.
Asia has approached Transparent Hands to request urgent help. She hopes that with enough donations, she can finally have the surgery that will put her life out of danger.
