Balqees Bibi's Story
Balqees bibi is a 46-year-old woman who has been experiencing pain in her right hypochondriac area along with abdominal distention, stretch, and vomiting for the past 1.5 years. Her symptoms grew much worse in the past 8 months. She has been diagnosed with cholelithiasis and the doctors have advised cholecystectomy- surgery to remove the gallbladder, for permanent relief.
Balqees Bibi and her husband, Muhammad Amin, have 2 daughters and 3 sons. Their two younger sons are attending school. The older children have been unable to pursue education due to financial constraints. Muhammad Amin is a government servant and earns 16,000 PKR a month, which is insufficient to support 7 family members. Despite being in discomfort for over a year, Balqees Bibi has not had her surgery because she cannot afford it. Then recently, she came across a Transparent Hands camp where she registered her case.
“I was hoping that a local hospital would give me an appointment for surgery but even after months of trying, I never made it further than the waitlist. Transparent Hands visited my hometown for a medical camp. They patiently assisted me and I finally became hopeful that I would find relief from this pain soon.”- Balqees Bibi
Balqees Bibi can have her surgery as soon as possible with financial assistance from you.
