Farman Ali's Story
“We have been struggling to get his angiography done ever since his first attack of angina. Unfortunately, we have not been successful due to our financial circumstances. A heart condition makes life so uncertain and we are afraid that if we don’t do something soon, we might lose our father.” Farman’s younger son
Farman Ali, age 62 years, has been suffering from chest pain and shortness of breath for the past three months. The doctor at his local hospital prescribed him some medicines and referred him to a cardiologist, who has diagnosed him with ischemic heart disease. Farman has been advised by angiography to investigate his heart condition.
Farman recently quit work due to his heart condition. He has 2 sons and 2 daughters, all of them are married. His sons, both daily wagers in a shoe store, live with their father, and earn 12,000 PKR per month collectively. This amount supports Farman and his own family as well as a few members of his extended family.
Because of a shortage of facilities due to the coronavirus outbreak, none of the local hospitals are taking Farman’s case for free. He cannot have the necessary procedure until he can raise enough money but the costs are not within his means. When he and his family came to know about Transparent Hands, they asked for help.
Farman’s heart condition should be investigated at the earliest so any further complications can be avoided.
Please help us arrange for his angiography.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
