Fatima Shahid's Story
25-year-old Fatima Shahid got married 4 years ago and has a 3-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. She is now pregnant for the third time. Both her children were delivered by LS C-sections due to complications in pregnancies and this time again, her child is to be delivered via a C-section.
Fatima’s husband works as a laborer with a mason and gets 500 PKR/day, with an average of 12,000 PKR/month. During both her previous LS C-sections, financial help was given to Fatima by her parents and parents-in-law. This time, her relatives are not in a position to assist her. Her due date is much earlier than the next available appointment at every local hospital she visited for a free surgical procedure. Then, she contacted Transparent Hands.

Fatima Shahid's Story
Fatima, 21 years old, was advised a lower segment Caesarean section for the birth of her third child as she had a history of two previous C-sections. For this purpose, she was admitted in Abid hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel on 11.11.2020. Fatima gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Both the mother and her baby are doing well.
