Gulshan Bibi's Story

Gulshan Bibi, age 30 years, got married 12 years ago and is the mother of two sons– a seven-year-old and a five-year-old. For the past seven years, she is experiencing pain in her right hypochondriac area along with abdominal distention, stretch, and discomfort. Gulshan Bibi visited many private and government hospitals and was diagnosed with cholelithiasis- stones in the gallbladder. Doctors advised gallbladder removal surgery, cholecystectomy, for permanent relief. In the past 2 years, the symptoms have become particularly unbearable for her.

“Due to the constant pain that I am going through, I am unable to look after my children or do household chores. It is debilitating.” Gulshan Bibi

Gulshan Bibi lives in a small house and her husband is a daily wage laborer, earning 500 PKR a day or 12,000 PKR a month on average. This meager income hardly allows them to fulfill basic necessities. Gulshan’s expensive surgery is hence totally out of their reach.

Gulshan’s husband learned about Transparent Hands and appealed for funds. Her cholecystectomy has been scheduled through Transparent Hands.

Kindly contribute generously for her surgery so that she can get back to her normal life, pain-free.
