Nasir Shahzad's Story

Before we dive into the details of Nasir Shahzad’s ailment and medical history, it is our request to please donate for his case. Only your donations can help Nasir walk again.

38 years old Nasir Shahzad had been suffering from severe pain and discomfort in his hip joints for the last 20 years. At first, the pain was mild but later, it restricted his mobility as well. Later, over 20 years, he has visited several hospitals across the country. At first, the doctors prescribed medicines for short term relief. However, later, the doctors diagnosed his condition as bilateral avascular necrosis (B/L AVN) of femoral heads. This AVN is the death of bone tissue secondary to loss of blood supply.

Now, the only option to treat this defect is total hip replacement surgery. It is surgery to replace the damaged hip joint. The surgeon replaces the old joint with an artificial joint (prosthesis). The hefty cost of the surgery was beyond Nasir’s affordability. Thus, he registered his case with Transparent Hands. Transparent Hands arranged for his surgery in December 2020. In the procedure, the orthopedic surgeon replaced his right hip joint with a prosthetic implant.

Now to regain his full mobility Nasir Shahzad needs another surgery which will replace his left hip joint. Your help has lessened half of Nasir Shahzad’s pain. Please donate to help Nasir walk again.

“Transparent Hands helped me immensely. I never imagined that the pain which troubled me for almost a lifetime would go away so soon. God bless my donors and Transparent Hands. Please donate for my second surgery so I can be well enough to work. -Nasir Shahzad

For the past 20 years, Nasir’s medical condition has directly affected Nasir’s financial circumstances. To feed his kids, he has set up a small shop in his home. It hardly makes him PKR 4000 per month. In this measly income, he is in no position to afford this surgery.

Nasir Shahzad has registered his case with Transparent Hands again. We are determined to help Nasir walk again. All we need is your earnest financial help. Please donate and help Nasir walk again.
