Humaira Sarfraz's Story
“It is so hurtful to see my daughter disabled. She lost her leg in a road accident 15 years ago. I can no longer see her drag herself around. Please end her disability by donating for her prosthetic leg.” –Humaira’s mother
Humaira Sarfraz, 21 years-of-age, lost her left leg in a terrible road accident at the age of 6 years While crossing the road, a bus came out of nowhere and hit her. She was taken to the nearest hospital where the doctors tried to treat her injured leg. Because of the severity of crush injury, their last resort was to amputate her left leg below the knee. Now, 15 years have passed by and this has left her disabled for life.
Humaira’s father works at a brick kiln and earns PKR 20000 a month. They are a family of eight people living in a rented house. All her siblings are not old enough to lend a hand in their household expenses. Humaira being the oldest, wants to help her father but instead feels like a burden to them.
Humaira has been dependent even to move around the house for years now. She needs a prosthetic leg to ease walking. The low income of her fathers, however, does not allow them to afford the expenses of the artificial leg.
Luckily, through some relatives they got to know about Transparent Hands and appealed for help.
Humaira is due to get her left leg prosthesis in a few days’ time, through Transparent Hands. Kindly donate heartily for Humaira and enable her to overcome her disability.

Humaira Sarfraz's Story
Humaira Sarfraz, 21 years old, underwent a terrible accident, fifteen years ago. While she was walking to her school, a bus ran over her left leg. She was shifted to a local hospital immediately, where her leg was amputated below the knee. This accident had a devastating effect on Humaira’s life as she became dependent on other people. She was presented with a ray of hope when a doctor told her that she would be able to walk with the help of a below knee prosthetic leg. HOPE Rehabilitation Center arranged for her prosthetic leg which was fixed on 11.12.2020 by Dr. Khalid Niaz Niazi. Humaria is grateful for her new leg and has already started using it.
