Donate to Imam Said’s Neurosurgery
Imam Said's Story
Imam Said hails from a remote area of KPK. Anghapur is a village where basic necessities are scarce. Naturally, the residents do not have access to quality healthcare. Imam Said needs neurosurgery, and Transparent Hands will arrange it for him. Please donate to Imam Said’s neurosurgery and help us make our promise a reality.
48 years old Imam Said has been suffering from neck pain for the last five years. Gradually, the pain radiated to his upper limbs restricting their movement to a minimum. For the last two years, he has been suffering from numbness and paraesthesia in all four of his limbs. This condition has put a halt to Imam Said’s ability to walk or perform his daily activities. The doctor diagnosed his condition as severe cervical stenosis due to prolapsed intervertebral disc (PIVD) at C5-6 level. It occurs when the neck’s protective spinal canal narrows due to degenerative changes.
To treat this condition and ensure spinal stability, the neurosurgeon has advised him to undergo cervical discectomy and fixation.
Imam Said used to be the sole earner of his family. He worked at his landlord’s agrarian land. Unfortunately, due to his deteriorating health, he hadn’t been able to work for two years. All his savings went in his treatment. Now, Imam Said is in debt with 8 family members dependent on him. In these pitiable circumstances, he is in no position to arrange his surgery.
“My father has been writhing in pain for the last five years. Moreover, he has been bedridden for the last two years. Whenever he tries to get up, he falls flat on the ground. It is so painful to see your father like that. Please help us, we need our father.” -Imam Said’s son.
Imam Said’s story brought tears to our eyes. We have promised him that we would arrange his surgery for free. Your small donation can make a huge difference. Please donate to Imam Said’s neurosurgery and help him get back up on his feet.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Imam Said's Story
Imam Syed, aged 48 years, suffered from severe neck pain that radiated to his arms. He frequently felt numbness and weakness in all four of his limbs. He also experienced urinary incontinence, for the past two years. On thorough medical examination, he was diagnosed with prolapsed intervertebral disc (PIVD) at C5-C6 level and severe cervical stenosis. The neurosurgeon advised surgical intervention for removal of this faulty disc. For this purpose, Imam was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital and his anterior cervical discectomy along with cervical fixation were performed by Dr. Ibrar Ullah on 09.03.2021. He stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. Imam is taking ample rest and is on his way to recovery.
