Donate to Iqra Saleem for Her C-Section
Iqra Saleem's Story
Iqra Saleem, 28 years old, is pregnant with her second child and is 20 weeks along. Her son was delivered through C-section due to poor fetal movement and other complications. This surgery was carried out at her local hospital free of cost. This time again, the doctor has advised her to undergo an operation for smooth and safe delivery.
Iqra and her husband, Muhammad Saleem, cannot afford the expenses of her operation. Saleem earns around 17,000 PKR a month by working as a laborer. In this meager income, he can hardly meet the basic day-to-day needs of his family. They have also been unable to secure a free appointment at a local hospital this time and have now requested Transparent Hands to help them.
“We have been waiting for so long for another child. My son is beyond excited that he would finally have a sibling. But all this excitement and joy is tinged with fear: what if nobody helps us? We would lose the child we have, for years, been praying for.” – Iqra
