Irshad Bibi's Story

Irshad Bibi, 32 years old, got married about 9 years ago and has an 8-year-old son, a 4-year-old daughter, and a 2-year-old daughter. All three of her babies were delivered by LS C-sections due to complications during pregnancies. Irshad is now pregnant for the fourth time and her doctor has recommended C-section as the best course of delivery this time as well. Unfortunately, she cannot afford her surgery due to financial limitations.

Irshad’s husband, Waheed Iqbal, works at a sweet shop and earns 600 PKR/day with an average of 15000 PKR per month. This family lives in a small house as part of a joint family system with Waheed’s three brothers. During all three of Irshad’s previous C-sections, financial help was given by relatives. This time, however, they do not have anyone to turn to and their only hope for a free surgery is Transparent Hands.

Irshad Bibi's Story

Irshad Bibi, 32 years old, was advised a lower segment Caesarean section for the birth of her fourth child since she had three previous C-sections. She was admitted in Abid hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel on 19.10.2020. Irshad had a beautiful baby girl. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Irshad and her baby girl are in perfect health now.
