Kauser Bibi's Story
Kauser Bibi, aged 42 years, has been suffering from pain in her right hypochondriac area along with vomiting and abdominal stretch for the last one year. She has been diagnosed with cholelithiasis (gallstones) and doctors have advised her surgery to remove the gallbladder for permanent relief. She visited a few doctors for free surgery but her request wasn’t accommodated. A delay of treatment has caused her symptoms to worsen over the past few months.
Kauser Bibi got married about 25 year ago and has 2 sons and one daughter. Unfortunately, her husband passed away 4 years ago due to hepatitis C. The only earning hand in the family is her elder son of 21 years, who cultivates a small rented land and gets about 30000 PKR every six months. This brings his income to an average of 5000 per month. Kauser and her family survive with great difficulty each month on this meager amount. Unable to fund the surgery himself, her son has contacted Transparent Hands to seek help.

Kauser Bibi's Story
Kauser Ghulam, 42 years old, was suffering from upper abdominal pain and dyspepsia. She was diagnosed with symptomatic gallstones and was advised cholecystectomy for this. Her laparoscopic cholecystectomy was done on 17-05-20, in Abid Hospital, Mian Channu, by Dr. Abdul Saeed Sajid. She remained admitted for 2 days and had a good post-operative recovery. She was discharged in perfect health.
