Muhammad Tanveer's Story

31-year-old Muhammad Tanveer injured his right knee about a month ago when he slipped in rainwater and his joint cracked wide open. He was rushed to the nearest hospital where the doctors ran a few tests and the MRI report showed that he had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury which is one of the main ligaments in the right knee. The doctors suggested Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery to fix his injured ligament.

Now, the problem is that the cost of this surgery is beyond his financial means and does not have the resources to pay for it even if he saves up for years. He has been enduring this pain for a month now and cannot bear it any longer.

On a friend’s recommendation, he has contacted our organization. And we have taken up his case.

For the last 8 years, Muhammad Tanveer has been earning for his wife and little kids. He does the best he can to put a smile on his wife’s and kids’ faces by getting them whatever they need. Since M. Tanveer’s accident, his hands are tied and cannot afford to do anything for his family. He no more earns a monthly income of PKR 15,000-18,000K.

Muhammad Tanveer's Story

31-year-old Muhammad Tanveer was diagnosed with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury after a minor slip on the ground. He was advised arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery for his right knee joint. He was admitted in Akram Medical Complex and the procedure was performed by Dr. Abdul Latif Shahid on 15.10.2020. He stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Muhammad Tanveer had immense pain in his knee since the injury that made the simple act of walking difficult for him. The procedure would not only fix that problem but he would be able to resume his labour work as well.
