Muhammad Faizan's Story

“The older Faizan gets, the more dangerous it is to keep waiting. This defect can affect his whole adult life adversely. We do not want to raise our child destined to be miserable. We want to have bright hopes for him in the years to come.” – Faizan’s mother.

6-year-old Muhammad Faizan is suffering from a right undescended testicle. In this condition, the testicle does not move into its proper position after birth. Doctors have advised a right orchidopexy for Faizan as soon as possible. If his surgery gets delayed any further, it can lead to infertility in adulthood and can even increase his risk of testicular cancer in the future.

Initially, his parents took him to a private hospital for treatment but they were asked to pay a heavy cost which was beyond their financial reach. Faizan’s father is a daily wager who only earns 12,000 PKR/month on average and is the sole breadwinner for his wife and three children. He tried to get his son free treatment at a local clinic as well but his condition did not improve. His pain only keeps increasing, particularly in the right inguinal area.

Muhammad Faizan's Story

Muhammad Faizan, 6 years old, was suffering from pain & swelling in the right inguinal area with an empty right scrotal pouch. He was diagnosed with a right undescended testis. He was advised to have right orchidopexy surgery to correct this. Faizan was operated on in Abid Hospital, Mian Channu, by Dr. Faisal Usman, on 04-06-20. He remained admitted for 3 days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition.
