Donate to Muhammad Iqbal for his Hepatitis C Treatment
Muhammad Iqbal's Story
“I’m my father’s favorite and very close to him. Every day, I used to sit with him and we talked for hours and laughed at stupid things. But now, all we talk about is his disease. I cannot stop crying when I watch him suffer helplessly and I cannot do anything about it. What should I do? I’ve no skills and no means to earn and get him treated. We are dependent on him for all our needs. If something happens to him, we all are going to suffer. Not only his life will be lost but we’ll die too.” – Muhammad Iqbal’s daughter
52 years old Muhammad Iqbal has been suffering from hepatitis C for the last 9 years. He has been taking medicines to treat the disease but due to lack of adequate healthcare facilities, his disease has progressed resulting in his liver’s damage. He has visited several doctors but they advised him to consult a specialist doctor. Muhammad Iqbal doesn’t have any savings left to spend on his treatment.
He works as a caretaker of cars in a company and earns 12,000 PKR a month. He struggles to take care of his family of 9 members in his meager income. Without even caring about his health, he is working hard and providing for his family. But due to his negligence and lack of awareness, his hepatitis C has progressed into chronic liver disease. The doctor has advised him to start his proper treatment as soon as possible. If left untreated, it can cause serious and potentially life-threatening damage to his liver.
Iqbal won’t be able to get life-saving treatment without your help
