Muhammad Nasir's Story
“I lost my daughter but was gifted with his son. He was never able to see his mother, so the day she passed away, I decided to be his mother and grandmother all in one. But there is this guilt in me, that I can’t give this child a better future due to financial restraints. Please help me fulfill my duty. Your kind donations will enable him to start living a normal life.” –Muhammad Nasir’s grandmother.
6 years of age, Muhammad Nasir was born with an anorectal malformation a birth defect, in which the anus and rectum don’t develop properly.
At the age of two days, his colostomy was made at a local hospital. The doctors advised him two more surgeries to completely treat him of his birth defect. The doctors suggested that at the age of two, Nasir should get his second surgery done to make his back passage at the usual site.
About three years ago, Nasir lost his father as well. His grandmother takes care of him and wants to give the best future possible. Now, Nasir is six years old and needs the surgery more than to be able to live normally like other kids his age. His bowel opening on the abdomen is impacting his social life, negatively. There are small rashes on his skin and he cannot maintain personal hygiene like other children.
His grandmother works as a housemaid and earns PKR 5000 a month which is hardly enough to feed Nasir and herself, let alone pay for his surgery.
Luckily, his grandmother came to know about Transparent Hands and has registered with us. Muhammad Nasir’s posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) is scheduled to be done through Transparent Hands.
Please donate to him. This surgery will bring him one step closer to living a normal life and allowing him to fully enjoy his childhood.

Muhammad Nasir's Story
Muhammad Nasir, 6 years old, was born with an anorectal malformation. In this congenital defect, the anus and rectum fail to develop properly. For treatment, the doctors performed a colostomy, two days after his birth. They further advised a second surgery called Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty (PSARP). This surgery was to be performed when he turned older. Presently, after attaining the desired age, he was ready to undergo PSARP surgery. Nasir was therefore admitted to Akram Medical Complex and was operated by Dr. Bilal Mirza on 05.02.2021. His back passage was surgically made in this surgery. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Nasir has recovered well from his second surgery.
