Muhammad Siraj Udin 's Story
“That accident turned my life upside down. I never thought there will come a time when I’ll be walking with crutches. My brother abandoned me in my difficult time and left me to suffer alone. I’m going through not just physical pain but also emotional turmoil which I cannot describe in words.” – Muhammad Siraj Udin
26 years old Siraj Udin, a daily wage laborer, was living a peaceful life until one day when he met with an accident in which his left leg was broken. He was taken to the hospital immediately where his leg was amputated. Since then, he has been using crutches to walk.
Siraj Udin used to earn around 10,000 PKR a month which was enough to meet his day-to-day needs but now, he is not able to perform his duties due to his disability to walk. His employer is reluctant to give him any work. The doctor has told him that an artificial leg could make him independent again and he can resume his work as before.
Siraj Udin doesn’t have money to bear the expenses of an artificial leg. When he found about Transparent Hands through internet, he immediately contacted the organization and now he is scheduled for procedure in a few days.
