Muhammad Yousuf's Story
65-year-old Muhammad Yousaf started experiencing acute onset pain in his right ear about 3 months ago. The doctors diagnosed him with CSOM- a long-standing suppurative middle ear inflammation as well as mastoiditis – inflammation of the mastoid when the infection spreads out from the middle ear to the skull.
He sought treatment from a private hospital, but the medicines did not improve his condition. As time passed by, his condition has gotten worse and now the doctors have advised him to get a mastoidectomy of his right ear – a surgical procedure that removes diseased mastoid air cells.
Not being able to pay for the surgery, Muhammad Yousuf’s son brought him back home. Luckily, someone told them about Transparent Hands, and they have turned to us for help.

Muhammad Yousuf worked as a mechanic at a workshop, even at this age, but due to the pain he is suffering from, he quit. His son works as an electrician and earns PKR 30000 a month. He supports his family of eight as well as his old father and pays rent of the 5 marla house that they live in.

Muhammad Yousuf's Story
Muhammad Yousaf, 65 years old, suffered from ear ache and headache. On medical consultation, he was diagnosed with chronic suppurative otitis media CSOM with chronic mastoiditis in the right ear. The doctor advised a mastoid exploration surgery for him. After his admission in the hospital, his detailed tests were done and it was found that he is suffering from uncontrolled diabetes along with renal failure and hepatitis C. Yousaf’s surgery was postponed because of his ill health. He was discharged on medical advice after one day of hospital stay.
