Mumtaz Bibi's Story
Mumtaz Bibi, 50-years-of-age, was diagnosed with a huge paraumbilical hernia about 8 months ago. She visited many doctors at local clinics who gave her medicines and advised her to get tests done. Her health has deteriorated with the passage of time. Mumtaz Bibi is feeling severe abdominal pain, weakness and fever for the last month. The doctor has recommended her to undergo surgery as this is the only way she can get rid of her disease. She doesn’t have enough money to pay for her surgical expenses. She contacted a local hospital for free of cost surgical treatment but there was already a long list of patients waiting for their free surgeries.
Her husband works as a laborer and earns about PKR 15000 a month. This is her only source of income with which she hardly manages to make both ends meet. Her children are small and the family is living from hand to mouth these days. They are a family of six people who live under the same roof.
Luckily, Mumtaz Bibi came to know about Transparent Hands through someone and her husband immediately brought her here. She is now scheduled for her mesh hernioplasty in a few days’ time. Hopefully, she’ll get rid of her painful symptoms after the surgery, but she needs your immense support.

Mumtaz Bibi's Story
Mumtaz Bibi, 50 years old, was diagnosed with a huge paraumbilical hernia and was advised a surgical procedure called mesh hernioplasty for it. For this reason, she was admitted in Lahore Care hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 17.11.2020. Her hernia was repaired successfully. Mumtaz stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. She has recovered well from her surgery.
