Nasira Bibi's Story

Nasira Bibi is a 27 years old mother of 2, who is pregnant with her 3rd baby. She underwent c-section surgeries for her previous childbirths and this time again, her doctor has recommended an elective C-section for the safe delivery of her baby.

Nasira and her husband have been unable to get an appointment at their local hospital due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Seeking private treatment is not an option for them because Nasira’s husband barely earns 9000 PKR a month working as a delivery man. With this income, he has to look after his wife and 2 small daughters. Worried about how to raise money for his child’s delivery, he contacted Transparent Hands for assistance.

Nasira Bibi, 28 years old, had her 3rd pregnancy. Her previous 2 babies were delivered through C-sections. This time again, she was recommended elective surgery for delivery. She visited local hospitals for her C-section but because of the pandemic, she faced problems getting an appointment. Her surgery was finally done in Noor Medicare Hospital through Transparent Hands on 12-06-20, by Dr. Munazza Malik. Nasira gave birth to a baby girl in a perfectly healthy condition. She was discharged in a stable condition after 3 days of hospital stay.
