Nasreen Bibi's Story

Nasreen Bibi, 28 years of age, mother of 3, is pregnant with her 4th baby. She has one elder son of 7 years studying in class 1, and two younger daughters. Nasreen underwent C-sections for her previous childbirths and this time again, her doctor has recommended her an LS C-section for the safe delivery of her baby.

All previous times, her surgeries were paid for by her brothers-in-law. However, due to a decline in their financial standing, they are unable to help Nasreen and her husband, Shafique, this time. Shafique is a fruit vendor and has an average income of 14,000-16,000 PKR per month. Out of this, 2500 PKR are spent on renting a small home for the family each month. The rest of the income pays for the family’s living expenses.

Unable to find resources to pay for his wife’s surgery, he has requested Transparent Hands to aid him.

Nasreen Bibi, 30 years of age, was about to have her 4th childbirth. She had her surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was done on 20-05-20, in Abid Hospital, Mian Channu, by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel. She was happy to give birth to a baby girl. She stayed for two days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
