Donate to Nasreen Bibi for Her Lap. Cholecystectomy
Nasreen Bibi's Story
Nasreen Bibi, age 43 years, has been feeling pain in her right hypochondriac area of the stomach for the past one year. Gradually, this condition has worsened over time and she has started suffering from other adverse symptoms including abdominal distention, stretch and discomfort. The doctors have diagnosed her with cholelithiasis, a condition in which stones form in the gallbladder, and have told her that she needs a cholecystectomy to remove her gallbladder.
Nasreen has not opted for the recommended operation yet because of financial difficulties. She and her husband have 5 small children to look after. Her husband is the only earning hand in the family. As a mason, he is just paid 12,000 PKR/month which forces the family to live hand to mouth.
After living with her symptoms for almost one year, Nasreen found out that she can seek help from Transparent Hands. She immediately called and registered her case.
“I had given up all hope. I was basically preparing myself to live with all the symptoms until I heard back from one of the local hospitals. That could have taken years. But hopefully, it won’t take years now.” – Nasreen Bibi
