Nasreen Bibi's Story
Nasreen Bibi, aged 36, is currently expecting her fourth child. To avoid any fetal distress during delivery, her gynecologist advised a C-section. Nasreen bibi and her husband tried to get a free or subsidized appointment for a C-section at their local hospital, but the next available date was long after the expected delivery date. They turned to private hospitals and were informed that the cost would be close to 100000 PKR.
“I was shocked when I heard that number. My husband earns 16000 PKR a month with which we feed our three children, ourselves and pay rent for this small space we occupy. I cannot even afford to send my children to good schools. I don’t have any jewelry, property or valuables to sell for this operation. I appear to have reached a dead end. Not having the operation could threaten the life of my unborn child. Having it is completely beyond my means”

Nasreen Bibi's Story
Nasreen Bibi, 34 years old, was pregnant with her 4th child. She was advised a C-section due to 3 previous surgeries for child birth. Her C-section was done on 27-01-20, at Noor Medicare Hospital, by Dr Munnaza Malik. She was happy to give birth to a baby boy. She stayed for three days in the hospital and was then discharged along with her healthy baby.
