Rashida Bibi's Story
Rashida Bibi is a 26-year-old mother of three suffering from cholelithiasis. The doctors have advised her to get her gall bladder surgically removed immediately to relieve herself from pain. She urgently requires a lap. cholecystectomy.
“Every mother wishes to look after her family and to spend time with her children, but there are days when I can barely walk. It seems almost unfair that even though I have been blessed with the gift of a loving family, my health prevents me from being there for them.”
For the past year, her days have comprised of persisting abdominal pain and periodic bouts of vomiting. As a housewife, her everyday chores are ridden with constant discomfort. With her eldest daughter being in kindergarten and her husband working daily as a rickshaw driver, Rashida bibi does not have anyone to help her take care of the house or herself.
The financial burdens of putting her young children through school coupled with a meager paycheck of 6,000 PKR per month makes it nearly impossible for Rashida bibi and her husband to finance her surgical procedure. They have visited numerous hospitals, both private and local, for free treatment or one that they can afford, but their efforts were to no avail. Then they approached Transparent Hands for help.
Rashida Bibi requires financial assistance for permanent relief from her enduring pain.
