Rukhsar Shakeel's Story
20-year-old Rukhsar Shakeel is pregnant with her second baby. She has one small daughter who was delivered through a C-section, as normal labor wasn’t possible due to complications. This surgery was carried out at a private hospital with the help of a loan that she and her husband took from relatives. This time again, to avoid any complications, she has been recommended to deliver through a C-section but Rukhsar and her husband no longer have anyone to turn to for help.
Rukhsar’s husband works as a laborer and gets 500 PKR/day, with an average of 12,000 PKR/month which is barely enough to cover his family’s expenses. Not in the position to borrow money again, this couple visited several local hospitals for a free surgical procedure but didn’t find help at any of them. Then they contacted Transparent Hands.
With your assistance, Rukhsar can have a safe operation to deliver her child.
Please consider donating to her.
