Saba Usman's Story

Saba Usman, 25 years old, is currently pregnant with her first baby. She is 38 weeks along and in around a month’s time, expects her child. Due to the expected complications relating to her pregnancy, she has been recommended to deliver via a C-section. The delivery, however, would require a costly surgical procedure, and Saba and her husband are worried about the medical expenses.

Saba and her husband, Usman Younas, live in a small house in Lahore. Usman works as a laborer and earns 15,000-16,000 PKR a month. Even though he only has his wife and himself to support right now, the expenses of living in a metropolitan city such as Lahore do not leave them with any savings

“I work really hard but there is no way I will ever be able to raise the money for my child’s delivery. It is a bittersweet moment for us. We are excited that we will finally get to be parents but also worried about how to bring our child to us safely.” – Usman Younas.

Help us give this couple a chance to hold their safe and healthy baby in their arms.
