Sadia Arshad's Story
Sadia Arshad, 24 years old, is pregnant for the third time and has been recommended by the doctor to deliver her child through a C-section. A normal delivery, given her history of complicated labor, could prove dangerous for her and her child.
Sadia has one daughter who is 2 years old now. A year after her daughter was born, she had a son who passed away from meningitis at the age of three months, a loss that she and her family have still not recovered from. The prospect of another child has brought them comfort but unfortunately, the family does not have the resources to pay for Sadia’s operation and needs help with funding it.
Sadia’s husband works at an embroidery shop and is paid 12,000/month for over 9 hours of work each day. Out of this, 4000 PKR are paid in rent and the rest of income is spent on groceries and utilities. There are no other expenses that can be accommodated into this budget. Both of Sadia’s previous deliveries were carried out at local hospitals for free but she has not been lucky enough to find an appointment this time. Hence, she has requested Transparent Hands to sponsor her procedure.

Sadia Arshad's Story
Sadia Arshad, 24 years old, was about to give birth for the 3rd time. She had surgeries done for her previous childbirths as well. She was advised for an elective surgery again this time. Her C-section was done on 04-09-20 at Abid Hospital by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel. She was very pleased to give birth to a baby boy. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was later discharged along with her healthy baby boy.
