Saima Bibi's Story

“My husband cannot move around a lot so he does not have many job options. The job he has now pays next to nothing but even this was so difficult to find. The nature of our circumstances doesn’t allow us to earn a lot so we have no choice but to appeal for help.” – Saima Bibi

Saima Bibi, aged 26 years, is pregnant with her third baby. Before this, she gave birth to 2 children, both boys, through LS C-section. Due to her history of C-section deliveries, her doctor has advised her to undergo a C-section this time as well.

Saima’s husband earns 9000 PKR/month running a small shop in his village. He held a better job previously but ever since he lost his right leg in an accident some years ago and had to get an artificial limb, he had to leave that job due to its strenuous nature. His current job barely covers his family’s expenses. For both of her previous operations, Saima was able to get help from her relatives. This time around, she has not been so fortunate and also has no resources of her own. She has turned to Transparent Hands for assistance.

Saima Bibi's Story

Saima Bibi, 26 years old, was about to have her 3rd childbirth. She had surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was done on 08-07-20, in Abid Hospital, by Dr Saddaf Aqeel. She was happy to give birth to a baby boy. She stayed for 2 days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
