Sajida Bibi's Story
Sajida Bibi is a 48-year-old woman who has been experiencing pain in her right hypochondriac area along with abdominal distention, stretch, and vomiting for the past 1 year. Her symptoms have grown much worse in the past 3 months. She has been diagnosed with cholelithiasis. For permanent relief, the doctors have advised cholecystectomy- surgery to remove the gallbladder.
Sajida Bibi and her husband, Maqsood Ahmad, have 2 sons and 3 daughters, all of whom are attending school. Maqsood is a rickshaw driver and earns 300 PKR a day or 7000 PKR a month on average, which barely supports this family of seven.
“Even if I work 14 hours a day, I cannot manage to earn enough to even keep my family well-fed. Especially nowadays, due to the lockdown, I just don’t find enough passengers. Without passengers, I don’t get any fares and our whole livelihood depends on the fares. In this dire situation, I can barely keep food on the table. How can I possibly arrange for my wife’s operation?” – Sajida’s husband, Maqsood Ahmad
Despite being in discomfort for so many months, Sajida has delayed her surgery because of financial constraints. Luckily, she found out about Transparent Hands and registered her case.
Your financial support for Sajida can promise her a healthy, pain-free life ahead. Donate today to make sure that she is not forced to suffer anymore.
