Sana Bibi's Story

Sana Bibi, age 30 years, got married 6 years ago and has a son and two daughters. She is now pregnant for the third time with twins. All of her children were delivered by LS C-sections due to complications during pregnancies and this time again, her twins have to be delivered via a C-section upon her doctor’s recommendation.

Sana Bibi’s husband is a mason and gets paid an average of 10,000 PKR per month. She and her family live in a small rented house in Khanewal that costs them 2000 PKR/month, leaving behind a meager amount for their other essential expenses. For Sana’s first delivery operation, she was lent financial help by her elder sister. Her next two C-sections were done at local establishments for free. This time, however, she has neither found help from relatives nor an appointment at a local hospital. As her final hope, Sana Bibi has turned to Transparent Hands.

Sana Bibi, 30 years old, was about to give birth for the 4th time. She had surgeries done for previous her childbirths as well. She was advised for an elective surgery again this time. Her C-section was done on 06-08-20 at Abid Hospital, Mian Channu by Dr Sadaf Aqeel. She was happy to give birth to twin baby boys. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was later discharged along with her healthy baby twins.
