Ayesha Rehman's Story

An illness at such a young age can leave marks and drain all the joy from a child’s life. Please know that even your smallest contribution will help Ayesha live a healthy life. We urge you to please donate to save Ayesha’s heart.

Ayesha Rehman, a two-year-old resident of Multan, has been suffering from a congenital heart disease. She has been experiencing symptoms of tachycardia, dyspnea and weakness since birth. Ayesha’s parents noticed her pattern of falling sick for no apparent reason. Upon consultation, she was advised by the doctor to undergo a number of diagnostic tests to determine her illness. Ayesha’s reports revealed that she is suffering from an unbalanced Complete Atrioventricular Canal (CAVC) defect.

Complete Atrioventricular Canal (CAVC) defect is a severe congenital heart disease in which there is a large hole in the tissue (the septum) that separates the left and right sides of the heart. The hole is in the center of the heart, where the upper chambers and lower chambers meet. The goal of this surgery is to repair the defects so the heart can work as normally as possible. Repairing the defects can greatly improve a child’s health and quality of life.

Ayesha’s father is a private school teacher and hardly manages to earn PKR 25,000 per month. In these gloomy times and with a meager income for a family of seven, it is impossible for Ayesha’s parents to afford the hefty cost of this procedure. Ayesha’s sorrowed mother expressed her feelings in the following words:

“My beautiful little angel is suffering and I am helpless to do anything for her. No parents should see their child going through so much suffering at such a young age. Please be the saviors for my daughters. Please help us.”

Transparent Hands has registered Ayesha’s case. We are determined to help her. But, this will not be possible without your support. We request you to kindly contribute generously and donate to save Ayesha’s heart.
