Sadaf Bibi's Story

Sadaf Bibi, a 35-year-old resident of Karachi, is a mother of three children and is currently expecting her fourth baby. She has previously undergone two C-section deliveries. As she approached her sixth month of pregnancy, she visited a local hospital for a checkup. Based on her medical history and current condition, the gynecologist has advised her to undergo a Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) to safely deliver her baby. An LSCS involves making a surgical incision in the lower segment of the uterus for the delivery of the baby. Without this procedure, both Sadaf and her baby would be at risk.

Sadaf and her husband live in a modest house, and their monthly income of only PKR 20,000 is barely enough to cover their basic household needs. Tragically, they are unable to afford the expenses associated with the necessary surgery, which puts the health of both Sadaf and her baby in jeopardy. The financial strain is taking a toll on Sadaf’s well-being as she struggles to afford proper nutrition and medication. She has expressed her distressing circumstances, highlighting the urgent need for financial support.
