Shahid Ali's Story

“My family left me to suffer on streets as I couldn’t work and earn. They didn’t have money to feed me. I was nothing but a burden on my parents and siblings. I did different jobs for my survival and was able to get a small space to live but unfortunately, I met with an accident. I cannot work anymore. I’ve nobody who could help me in my treatment. Sometimes, I wish to die. At least that’s better than living like this.” – Shahid Ali

28 years old Shahid Ali’s life has always been full of struggles. At a very young age, his family abandoned him as he was not skilled enough to earn. He started doing several labor jobs for survival and was finally able to rent a small space to live. But unfortunately, not long ago, he met with an accident which fractured his legs’ bones making him unable to work.

Shahid couldn’t even go back to his family and ask for help. His friends somehow managed to get him plastered but now, he is unable to walk. He is surviving on charity given by his friends. The doctor who treated him recommended surgery as soon as possible. Without treatment, he’ll never be able to walk again.

Shahid Ali's Story

Shahid Ali, 28 years old, had injured his Rt leg after a motor rickshaw hit him by the road. His Rt Tibia was broken and he was treated at the local hospital. Post-treatment, he faced non- union of his fracture site. He has advised the operation to fix it. His surgery was done in Maqsooda Zia Hospital, Faisalabad by Dr. Shehzad Mehmood on 12-11-19. His bone was fixed and bone grafting was also done. He recovered well after his fixation and was discharged in good health after 2 days of hospital stay with regular follow-ups.
