Shahida Parveen's Story

Shahida Parveen, 40 years of age, suffers from pelviureteric junction obstruction. This is a blockage of the kidney area – renal pelvis. This has resulted in Shahida to suffer from renal stones, a condition that makes life miserable causing symptoms like severe pain, nausea, and vomiting. Shahida’s problem needs to be treated with surgery. She requires a simple nephrolithotomy and pyeloplasty, however, she does not have enough money saved up to pay the medical bills.

Shahida has a daughter and two sons to look after. Her husband is the sole earner in the house. This 5-membered family has to live in a small house and the 20,000 PKR that her husband earns per month is nowhere enough to meet the requirements of their household.

“I do not know what will happen to my children, if something happens to me, just because of a few stones. I thought everything was going to be OK when I first took medicines. But ever since I got the news of needing major surgery, life has not been the same. I hope someone in the world is there to share my grief.” – Shahida

We need your help to eliminate Shahida’s suffering. Please donate for her treatment to make sure she receives quality medical attention.
