Shakeela Bibi's Story
Shakeela Bibi, aged 53 years, had suffered from hypertension for over five years. She also experienced shortness of breath and lack of energy on little exertion. When she visited a local doctor to get herself examined, she was advised to undergo an ECHO test and an angiography. The reports of these tests revealed that she had rheumatic heart disease. She also suffered from mitral and aortic stenosis. In rheumatic heart disease, rheumatic fever causes permanent damage to the heart valves. Consequently, the doctor advised a double valve replacement through open heart surgery for her. However, heart surgery costs a fortune.
Shakeela’s financial circumstances do not allow her to spend a hefty amount on her healthcare. She is a mother to three boys, two of whom work in private companies. Collectively, their monthly income is PKR 30,000. In this day and age, this amount is not sufficient to cover all the household expenses. An expensive surgery is completely out of the question.
Since she had no other option, her consultant advised her to get herself registered with our organization. We have promised Shakeela’s sons that we will take care of their mother and her treatment. In this regard, your support is what matters the most. Your donations would play the most vital role in enabling Shakeela to undergo her life-saving surgery.
“I lost all hope. However, this organization has come as a life-saving opportunity in our lives. Never did I think that anyone would be willing to pay each and every penny for my surgery. I am so grateful.”– Shakeela expressed her gratitude while talking to our team
Therefore, please do consider donating to Shakeela for her open heart surgery. Your small act of kindness may leave a huge impact on her life.
