Sidra Ghafoor's Story

Sidra Ghafoor, 26 years old, is pregnant with her second child and is 37 weeks along. Her daughter was delivered through a C-section due to poor fetal movement and other complications. This surgery was carried out at a private hospital with help from her relatives. This time again, the doctor has advised her to undergo an operation for smooth and safe delivery.

Sidra and her husband, Hussain Babar, cannot afford the expenses of her operation. Hussain earns around 10,000-12,000 PKR a month by working as a laborer and can hardly meet the basic day-to-day needs of his family with this income. Unable to secure a free appointment at a local hospital or help from relatives, they have now requested Transparent Hands to help them.

Sidra Ghafoor, 22 years old, was about to have her 2nd childbirth. She had surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was done on 08-07-20 in Noor Medicare Hospital, by Dr. Aisha Muzzafar. She was happy to give birth to a baby girl. She stayed for 2 days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
